The Gray-bellied Comet (Taphrolesbia griseiventris) is a hummingbird in the subfamily Lesbiinae (coquettes and brilliants), tribe Lesbiini (coquettes). It weighs about 8.9 g and its bill is 22.8 mm long. It is found only in Peru. Its IUCN Red List status is Endangered, with a decreasing population.
