The Pale-tailed Barbthroat (Threnetes leucurus) is a hummingbird in the subfamily Phaethornithinae (hermits). It weighs about 5.6 g and its bill is 35.0 mm long. It lives in Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil, Guyana, Bolivia, Venezuela and Suriname. Its IUCN Red List status is Least concern, with a decreasing population.
