The Hyacinth Visorbearer (Augastes scutatus) is a hummingbird in the subfamily Polytminae (mangoes). It weighs about 3.0 g and its bill is 18.2 mm long. It is found only in Brazil. Its IUCN Red List status is Least concern, with a decreasing population.
