The Esmeraldas Woodstar (Chaetocercus berlepschi) is a hummingbird in the subfamily Trochilinae (mountain gems, bees and emeralds), tribe Mellisugini (bees). It weighs about 2.0 g and its bill is 15.5 mm long. It is found only in Ecuador. Its IUCN Red List status is Vulnerable, with a decreasing population.
